What to Expect

Where do I go?

On Sundays at 10:30 am, we meet at 6420 Ocean Hwy E, Winnabow, NC 28479.

As you enter Town Creek District Park from US Hwy 17, the Community Building is on your left between the tennis courts and the basketball courts.

What do I wear?

Wear what is comfortable for you. Some people dress up; others wear jeans or shorts. Most of our folks wear business casual.

What about my children?

For children age 0 to 3, we provide a nursery that is staffed with caring and qualified people who have passed background checks. Children older than 3 are in the service with the rest of us. Children who are too young to read are invited to check out a “busy bag” so that they can color or work on activities at their level while they sit with their parents in the service. We also provide worksheets to help older children engage with the passage we’re studying.

What are the services like?

Sunday Worship Services

We desire for our worship to be pleasing to the Lord and for our fellowship to be encouraging to one another.

We provide free coffee, doughnuts, and other refreshments. Our live music includes a blend of old and new songs. We sing, pray, read Scripture, and then spend time greeting one another. Our sermons are expository and usually verse by verse through a book of the Bible. The sermon usually lasts about 45 minutes. The entire service is about an hour and a half.

We translate our services into Spanish, using our technology on your device. You can choose to read Spanish subtitles or even listen in Spanish, using your earbuds on your device.

Wednesday Life Group

Our entire church family meets on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 pm for discussion, testimonies, prayer, and snacks. We provide supervised play for youth and children from 8:00 to 8:30 pm.

What else do you do?

We observe Lord’s Supper together once a month, and we have baptism services once or twice a year, typically at the beach.

In months with five Sundays, we have potluck fellowship meals after the service.

Outreach activities such as workdays and soccer camps allow us to serve others in our community, and short-term missions trips allow us to share the gospel and serve others around the world.
